Book all travel to Cancun international airport(CUN). Your retreat begins at the resort in Tulum at 3pm on 11/8/16. As many people will be flying in early, it is best if you make your way to Tulum on your own. The costs for all transport options from Cancun airport to Tulum generally fall into the following ranges: $65 USD for Shared Van from Cancun Airport, $100 USD for private taxi, $20 Bus to Tulum town and taxi to resort. The bus is our favorite option, as it is a luxury coach and is incredibly simple.
We are happy to provide more detail on any of these options.
Make sure to book your flight so that you depart on 11/13/16 around 5pm. These are the most common arrival and departure times for flights to and from the U.S. and we have arranged for the airport transportation around those times. If you book travel too far outside the suggested window, you will need to arrange for your own airport transport.
You will be provided with a complete transportation package after your booking that will detail all the steps needed to book your flights and how meet up with the Argo team at the resort upon your arrival.
The weather in Tulum during this period is perfectly tropical. We specially selected this time-frame as the most comfortable weather to make the most of all that Tulum offers. Average temperatures range from a high of 82 degrees to a low of 72. There is usually small rain showers the late afternoons that blow over in a few minutes and leave the air bright and clear. As this is the tropics, there is humidity and there are some insects, but neither are major issues.
This is your session, so you are free to engage in as much or as little activity as you wish. That said, we prefer to have people who want to be involved as much as possible. Don’t sit on the side-lines….Jump in a play!
There are a few ATMs close to the resort, but the best bet is to withdraw cash at the ATMs located at the airport. Check with you bank as they may have a partnership agreement in place. For example, Bank of America and Banco Santander allow their customers to withdraw funds with zero ATM or exchange fees. You will not need much in the way of cash, but it is a good idea to have some on hand.
The resort does offer wi-fi, but we highly encourage all attendees to take this opportunity to disconnect from technology during the re:charge session. You will feel much better if you do!
There is some cell reception in the area but it can be spotty. We recommend that you use Skype or WhatsApp when connected to wi-fi if you absolutely have to call home.
No. There is an automatic 90 day tourist visa issued upon arrival.
You will be provided with 3 delicious and highly nutritious meals each day that will be made only with the freshest ingredients. The tap water in Mexico can make travelers ill, however the resort provides ample purified water and ice. There are also amazing fresh juices available that are perfectly safe to drink, not to mention delicious and perfectly refreshing.
If you book travel outside the suggested time frame, want to extend your trip or simply do not feel like waiting for others, there are several great options for you. A taxi To/from the airport to the resort will cost about US$100 or there is a very comfortable bus offered by ADO for about US$10 to Tulum, and another US$10 for a taxi from the terminal to Ahau Tulum. If you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can work with you to suggest the best way forward. http://www.cancun-airport.net/buses.php
You can stay for any portion of the re:charge session, but we cannot accommodate reduced price options for shorter stays.
You will get the most out of the experience if you have a solid base-line fitness level, but no one needs to be an elite athlete to enjoy the activities we have planned for you.
